He honed his craft before moving to Canada, where with the help of his brother, Giancarlo opened and managed a chain of elite spas and salons. His dedication and passion for the hair stylist industry was quickly recognized earning him countless industry accolades including highest honors from Intercoiffeur – a prestigious International Hairdressing Association – in which he served actively in for over a decade.   

When Toronto broadcast station – CFTO, approached Giancarlo in producing a "make-over" show, he harnessed his colorful personality and fashion industry talents into making "Giancarlo Make-Overs" a celebrated hit show that aired for over ten years. With his new found fame and spotlight, it wasn’t long before health and beauty aid giants like Johnson & Johnson, Pantene, and L'Oreal signed Giancarlo for their product spokesperson in marketing and advertisement campaigns.

Today, Giancarlo De Berardinis, international salon owner and stylist, brings Italian beauty stateside to his Greenwich, Connecticut salon. With salons in Greenwich, Toronto, and Milan, Giancarlo stays intimately abreast of the latest strokes in style, fashion and techniques to deliver the seasonably relevant, chic and trendy looks that his clientele demand, and his reputation personifies.

His superstar clientele includes a long list of media and showbiz celebrities… Isabella Rossellini, Sophia Loren, Rita Pavone, Linda Evangelista and Paula Zahn are just a few of the women who have fashioned styles from Giancarlo.

His salons and hair styling techniques, including those he has pioneered have been featured in a wide array of fashion magazines such as Lucky, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, W, and Glamour.
