kerataselaitv 300x300 Gloss How To: Daily Hair Survival BasicsHair is our most noticed asset. How sad it is that it’s also our most abused!

The truth is, keeping that protein atop our head healthy and beautiful is a constant process, but star stylist and salon owner Adrian De Berardinis has tips for making your tresses look their best:

· Never work from sopping wet hair. Rough dry about 85% of the water out of your hair with your hands and a blow dryer.

· Always use the nozzle on your blow dryer when finishing hair and getting it smooth. The concentrated airflow with give you more control and speed.

· Products make the difference. Everyone’s hair needs different things to make it look its healthiest and best. Some people need moisture, some need shine, some need taming. Cheap products don’t usually do the trick because of the lower quality ingredients. Invest in better ones and ones that give your hair what it needs. You will see a difference.

· Always ask questions. Don’t be shy to ask your stylist what tools and products he/she recommends or what he is using on you at the salon. Sometimes if it never comes up it’s never discussed. Most stylists have a wealth of knowledge and can cure your hair or help achieve the look you want.

· Braids are in right now and a great way to look stylish without much effort! Try a loose low side braid as a great and more polished option than a pony tail. Work dry or wet hair into a braid by pairing with a styling cream like Oribe Supershine or Kerastase Lait Vital.
